Our Commitment to
Social Justice

Every child deserves safety, stability, and the opportunity to thrive. As an organization, we are committed to advancing social justice by confronting the inequities and systemic barriers that disproportionately impact children, youth, and families within the child welfare system.

Too often, children and families are impacted by systems shaped by poverty, racism, and bias. We affirm our responsibility to challenge these injustices and to create a more equitable, compassionate, and inclusive system.

Our commitment is to:
1. Listen first to children, youth, and families with lived experience.
2. Honor every culture, identity, and background, making sure each child feels seen and valued.
3. Strengthen families and support reunification whenever it is safe to do so.
4. Build communities of care that welcome relatives, foster parents, and supporters who share our vision of equity and compassion.
5. Work for change―not only in our organization but also in the larger child welfare system―so that justice, fairness, and dignity guide every decision.

Together, we strive toward a system that does not merely protect children, but also heals, empowers, and honors the humanity of every child and family.
