Rock 'n Rowl for Kids

annual Rock 'n Rowl for Kids Bowl-a-thon was held on April 17th. We are
pleased to announce that we were able to raise over $35,000 to help us to continue to provide quality advocacy for abused and
neglected children.
2010 Gates Great Giving Match
July 8th, 2010
A recent initiative of the Community Foundation of North Central Washington presented 33 agencies with the opportunity to leverage their donations through the Gates Great Giving Match. The initiative allowed contributions to these organizations, each of which support struggling families in our our community, to be matched by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and local Match Partners at 68 cents on the dollar. Organizations were informed that donations totaling up to $10,000 would be eligible for the match.
The Chelan-Douglas CASA Program ended the initiative with donations totaling $14,693 generously given by individuals, businesses, and other organizations. The success of CASA's donation drive was due in large part to the Knisely Family Foundation, a supporting organization of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, who donated $8,000 to our CASA Program.
On July 8th, 2010, the Community Foundation of North Central Washington hosted a Gates Great Giving Match celebration for all of the participating agencies at The Conservatory at Apple Annie's in Cashmere. CASA was presented with a check for $21,526.14 that included $6,833.14 of Match money which may be applied to the general operations of the Program.
